Tuesday's poems


William Carlos Williams’ poem This is Just to Say is a lighthearted poem about temptation and forgiveness.

Although E.E. Cummings writes l(a in an nonconventional way, his message about loneliness through imagery of a falling leaf still comes across.

Ezra Pound’s In a Station of the Metro, the speaker, relating faces to petals, claims that everyone has beauty even in such a dull place as a train station, which is represented as a wet, black bough.
